Glasser (US)

+ Sampha (US)

Glasser tror vi kommer til å ta Norge i 2011. Derfor har vi booket de.

Pressen om Glassers debut album "Ring":

"Glasser rises beyond her peers with an emotional, melodic offering” (9/10) - NME
...“A self-contained work of wonder” (4/5) - Fact Mag
"Should please listeners at almost every turn.” (8/10) - Pitchfork
"A wide-eyed, tribal, multi-textured menagerie of a record” - BBC Music
"2010's brightest new star will only shine ever more in the years to come" (9.0/10) - The Quietus
"Glasser’s managed to create nine, close to perfect tracks" (8,5/10) - The Line of Best Fit.
"Unique and mesmerizing" (8.0/10) - Prefix

Også her i Norge har den blitt godt mottatt, bl.a. gave Audun Vinger det en fantastisk anmeldelse i DN, 5 av 6 i Natt & Dag mm.

Som support kommer Sampha som gis ut på plateselskapet The Youngturks som og gir ut El Guincho, Tanlines og The XX.

Sampha produced Sundanza in his bedroom in leafy, suburban Morden, but it sounds beamed down from a billion light years away. The EP showcases six tracks of 8-bit soul, pixelated blues and binary boogie. It’s micro-robotic music: the sound of a million tiny machines buzzing and whirring their way into swarms of space age melody. Add to this mix the warmth and sincerity in 21-year-old Sampha’s singing voice- a voice from vintage soul, from crackling, careworn vinyl- and you have a collection of songs that fizz with future energy and real, human heart.
